    For long training runs usually a small bowl of porridge and a small banana plus a few gels when out  I have a problem when it comes to the race as I struggle to eat before hand and have run a HM without anything and just a couple of mouth fulls of banana for a mara!  This is being worked on as it needs to be improved for me to do better 🤣

    I can’t eat anything before hand 🙂

    For a HM training run I will just take water, typically I don’t often drink it.  On race day I’ll take a few sips from each water station.  No food or gels though.

    For a marathon training I’ll typically get through 2 bottles of water and 2 gels.  If I’m finding it tough I will normally tuck into a pack of jelly baby’s and have 2 each mile from about mile 20 onwards.  On race day I’ll tuck into whatever they have on the water/food stations … making a b-line for Jaffa cakes 🙂
