Hi folks. Found this place via a recommendation and looks like a great place to be.
Was a keen runner years ago but things have always got in the way (kids, work etc). Started running again more seriously back in August when I came across a running challenge for Cancer Research UK on Facebook. Really got into it and have been running ever since.
Usual distance is 5k or 10k but looking at improving my pace and also stepping up to a half. I’ve signed up for the Vitality 10k next May and also entered various ballots for longer events as something to work towards. Looking forward to getting lots of tips on training, improving pace etc and enjoying the community!

Were a great bunch on here and full of advice and encouragement.
Covid has had a huge impact on running events (and life) so fingers crossed you can get your teeth into a longer distance event next year!!
