KeymasterIt’s almost time to announce the November MOM
Will it be you…..

KeymasterAs ever this month there were some other serious contenders, but with our winner completing his first 50 mile event at Round Rotherham recently and bouncing back swiftly to run a superb marathon last weekend we felt he couldn’t be overlooked. Our winner goes about his running in a quiet and understated and modest way, but works hard putting in some fabulous miles and is a constant and steady support on the bug. He also puts a lot of his time and effort into Park Run and Junior Parkrun.
So for hard work, enthusiasm, services to Parkrun and recent fantastic performances the November MOM is ….

ParticipantSo pleased to see that Chris is the MOM. Apart from his brilliant 1st Ultra, followed by that fine marathon, he is one of the nicest people on the Bug….. modest, always supportive and a thoroughly good guy. Well done Chris!!

ParticipantCongratulations, Chris! All the comments above fully justified: great running performances in recent weeks + a really supportive Bug + a lot of wider work in the parkrun community.

ParticipantI was chuffed to see this, many thanks for the MOM and for the lovely kind words.
As you’ll all know I love running and stuff associated with it (parkrun for certain), if I don’t have my running shoes on then this is certainly the place to be. It gives me great pleasure watching you all on your running journeys and hearing the stories. I strongly feel that a mile is a mile …. you know what I mean, and its massive when new folk on here (or at parkrun) go on to perform well in races, whether they are running 5k’s or marathons. I often say that the person who gets the biggest round of applause at our local parkrun is the person that comes last – much respect to them its probably hurt far more than many of the other folk.
I feel a bit of a fraud as I get more support and encouragement than I give at times, so many many thanks to you all. Lets keep this bug thing going and lets get some new folk firmly established on here.
Happy running 🙂
