ParticipantI’ve been getting hot spots on the insides of my feet with my new Hoka’s when I do anything over 5miles, someone at run club said it could be my socks. So last night, I decided to double up on socks to see if this would help. I only done 4miles, but everything did seem far more comfortable, albeit the toes went numb, but I think that is a lacing issue?!
I really don’t fancy wearing 2 pairs of socks everytime I wear my Hoka’s so has anyone any advice on what to go for sock wise that might help with the hot spot issue?

ParticipantRachel, Hilly do twin skin socks which are in effect a double layer sock. Might be worth a look ? 👍

KeymasterRachel, i Love Hokas, iv had 2 pairs, and each time i have them i say im never gonna buy them again (until the next time – there just to dam comfy) Both times i’v had to re lace them in the criss cross as they are quite narrow for someone with clown feet like me. Socks might help, but if you havn’t had the issue in other shoes before than it’s more than likely the shoe, but try other socks by all means.
You don’t want anything with thick seams on the toe box – blister potential!! And nothing to thick either as your feet get hot and swell when running, but you do want sole padding
