      I didn’t feel motivated initially as had a sore throat. Anyhow dosed myself up and hit the pavement. A foggy, cold easy paced gentle run today. Because I live in a city, I seem to be dodging black ice a lot at the moment trying to keep to roads or verges wherever possible. Saving legs for Sunday. Feel a bit better now I got out. ☺

    • A nice run always makes me feel better and a nice bit of ice dodging – we don;t want any mupperty esp not before the race!!

    • Well done Sonia, its tricky when you’ve got a cold – but often its great to get out there and it settles down a bit. Lovely miles.

      A saunter as easing back before 5miler race Sunday. A lovely mild run, didn’t seem so cold. Couple hill reps thrown in and increase pace near the end. Happy with that run. Not sure whether I should do a weights workout or not. I’ve done a bit of core workout with local running club.

      I got a bit cold after running to parkrun waiting for it to start. Then it was a tad icy in places. I tried to speed up a little on the grass areas. I like cold morning runs in winter I discovered. I was able to run all the way round Parkie without stopping. I enjoyed that run all in all. ☺

    • IMO these naked speed session are far better than being told how fast you need to go by the watch – your body is going at it’s own pace without over doing it – well done on the session and early start! Best not to have music on when its dark anyway 🙂

      It was a mild misty morning run in daylight for a change. I pretty much jeffed it, I was tired after yesterday’s run. I wasn’t overdressed this time so was in 3/4 length leggings and tshirt and was happy. I may try porridge to fuel next time. One day I’ll be able to run the whole distance….just keep plodding on…

    • Definitely warmer out there today and nice to get out before everyone else surfaces! I don’t usually need any water on runs less than 10k but it depends on the weather and how you feel, we’re all different, just do what suits you. 5 miler santa dash is definitely within reach.

    • Well done getting out early Sonia, and dates sound like a good idea.
      As for water, we’re all different, in cooler weather there is less need especially with shorter distances, but if you feel you need it, take it with you. The Santa Dash may have a water station too?
      Definitely capable of a 5 miler Sonia 😊

      A cold, slightly frosty hilly reps session. Music cut off half way which was annoying. Still an enjoyable run. I think the reps are seeming easier so may increase next time. My foot issue PF seems to be knocked at bay for now too. All positive…☺

      Maybe you could try increasing the pace on the ups to push things further if your finding the hills easier.

      A quick speed session before a very early school run. Wet, windy, dark. My Garmin took ages to get signal I just carried on anyhow. 7x 1min run/ steady jog pace. 5min warm up/cool down. I think I actually enjoyed it today. ☺

    • Sonia iv missed loads – wow lady, you have come on loads with your running!! getting some bile miles into the legs is a great way up to steadily up the fitness and help the quads get stronger and hill are a hardcore must 🙂 well done 🙂
