@dee27, it is something I have been trying to sort for over 18 months but never been able to solve some of the problems. The light bulb actually resolved the issues unexpectedly. The balls are now in motion… 🙂

@dee27, I am fine. Just the past few months have been great and I have felt motivated (albeit constantly under par) nothing too serious, headaches, dizziness, lethargic in afternoons etc. just put it to Hydration and Fueling strategies wrong. After a couple of nosebleeds, I thought (well my Wife) better to get checked out – Blood Pressure is high…[Read more]

@Dee27 the person running the checkpoint arrived as Santa and brought the tree. No idea why.

@dee27 – it is actually an open water swimming venue I pay for. The lake was empty by the time I was finishing but I felt headachy and very lonely. Imagination was not helping. The water itself was warm, I just think I went into a little bit of shock which is why I felt cold.
I’m going to try a better weed free lake, less natural but they have 3…[Read more]

@lizzy had it not been slow going and pouring etc I probably wouldn’t of chatted.
@dee27 it was very easy to keep in Z2, there was loads of Z1 also. No sign of anything higher than mid Z2. Was moving quick enough to get out of Z2.

@dee27 Silverstone at the end of November, so in theory should be nice and flat – will see how that pans out!!!

  • @dee27 to do it properly you’ll need to do a max hr test and then set your zones from there – I’m only just learning there’s plenty on the internet but my advice would be to get advice from Sharnie for the finer details but yes once you’ve got your zones then the majority would be z2

so true @dee27, I always push myself to see what damage i have caused and then recoup the rest of the week.
@jillymp there are lots of benefits for ACV, I use 5mil ACV, 5mil Honey and 250mil water. slightly tase the vinegar but not that much and it is supposed to be god to have just before training sessions as well as food. I have done it for two…[Read more]

  • @jillymp – when I first started this hr malarkey to be stay in z1 I would have to walk now I can trot along quite happy so I need to be careful that I don’t just sit there when I’m supposed to be working the legs a bit harder – ideally the only time I want z1 is for recovery runs.
@dee27 – give it a try I think you have the same watch it really…[Read more]

@dee27 it is a tough one but a good one to take part in. The chips and curry didn’t touch the sides 😋

@stephencundill yes, 6 days and rest day tomorrow. You have to remember though, this is training for a 100 mile attempt. And virtually all of those runs have been at a very steady pace. Not beasting the legs etc. Its all about time on feet and getting big miles in. Train for a Marathon your long slow run should be 21 or 22 ish, train for a 100…[Read more]
