Fab effort Jill, especially with the weather turning! Hope you enjoyed 🙂

Yep moaning about the ‘little darlings’ certainly distracted us, will have to remember that trick for our next long outing 😉 haha

Lovely sunny slow run with my fave running buddy Siobhan, putting the world to rights and moaning about teenager children lol. Easy pace helped keep chest/breath manageable, so really enjoyed 🙂

    • LOL don’t get me started on teenage children..i could be go on for hours!!!Sounds like you enjoyed this one, well done ladies 😉

    • Should imagine the meaning and company helped the miles disappear. Easier pace is definitely better for the breathing, and talking. Well done

    • Yep moaning about the ‘little darlings’ certainly distracted us, will have to remember that trick for our next long outing 😉 haha

    • A good chunk of miles there so guessing a fair bit of moaning was done :0 Good idea to keep the pace easy to help with the breathing 🙂

    • Very solid miles.

    • Well done 😀

    • That’s a super chunk of miles, Claire, and even better that you enjoyed it 🙂 Really nice to get out with a buddy to help the miles fly by.

Thanks everyone, I can highly recommend Warsaw, lovely people, lots to see and Plenty of beautiful parks to run in (not to mention everyone is spotlessly clean) 🙂

Oh no! … Which half are you running? TBH though when I did P’boro Half in October, the weather was vile, heavy rain and winds, but actually after I’d run a few miles and warmed up it actually helped I think as it kept me cool … good luck!!

    • It’s the Liverpool HM. Know what you mean, I’d prefer the rain to a hot day but I’m not keen on battling the winds!

Thanks Jay, I enjoyed it once I’d warmed up after a lap or so!

I absolutely love ParkRun, the whole ethos and just lovely people you get to meet.

I’ve just run my 91st over in Poland, the first time I’ve run abroad. My usual one is Catton Park in Norwich, with Colney Lane at the UEA the next best local, and I’ve done a couple of other Norfolk ones.

Volunteering is also a great way to get involved and I’ve…[Read more]

Sadly that was 6km, not 6MILES !!! lol, I would have been over the moon to run that quick, but failing getting a piggyback with Mo Farah that’s never happening 😉

Steady morning run along Marriotts – After a heavy long weekend of eating and drinking I found it tough with heavy legs and also Asthma playing up again … not the best run out …

ParkRun #91 – Visiting Warsaw so decided to try my first foreign Parkrun at Pole Mokotowski! – They’ve only been going since mid-December so very small & friendly. Was -2 and kept trying to snow so was Freeeezing but fun 🙂

Glad you’re ok, and hope the person could lip read as it sounds as if they deserved an earbashing! Good run otherwise 🙂

  • It always annoys me when you see so many people blatantly running with Earphones past marshalls etc and/or dropping rubbish from gels & drinks. I figure if you can carry a gel out you can carry it back! Yes it may make a pocket or running belt sticky but we can all wash things … I haven’t reported anyone for either of these before but I have…[Read more]

Sounds like a good run, sometimes the best ones are when you don’t know where you’ll end up! Are you on holiday or just trying to run in a new area?

  • Yep, running for mileage is what works best for me too! Like The boy Shep, I haven’t gone further than a half before, so hard to comment for the longer runs, but I would prefer to know that I could run the distance (even if the last few kms/miles are slow as hell), rather than have a long run and then realise that realistically I had a good long…[Read more]

Not too bad a run, temperature was ideal and very pretty in sunshine, only negative was part of the off road part of the route was shut off so had to figure out an alternate which included part of busy ring road😖 so bit stop/start

    • It is nice in the sunshine at the moment, we should all relish it while we can. shame they shut off part of your route, but you worked around it and got a nice run in. Nice run Claire.

    • Nice one Claire looking good your doing well. Weather makes it a better outing

    • The weather is perfect at the moment but set to change again so a good idea to get out and enjoy it while we can – shame about the route being closed but looks like you adapted well 🙂

    • GGrrrr hate having to re route a run but looks like you got some good miles in 🙂 and what stunning weather were having, perfect 😉

    • Sjhame about the busy road, but otherwise looks like a very nice run Claire 🙂

    • I never enjoy running on a ring-road, but I guess needs must on this occasion. Hopefully the glorious sunshine helped to compensate 🙂

Well done on what sounds like a tough race with no water, I had heard from my sister that there were a few unhappy runners further back, struggling without 🙁 Good for you though perservering! Hope the bling was good 😉

  • Wow, stunning scenery, hope you enjoyed your run.
