Wow wish I had that heart rate on my easy trots – definitely something for the rest of us to aim for. Lovely outing, happy run. All looking good 😀

  • Good planning as you have laps looming. Nice mileage done and I’m now picturing bambi legs – glad you didn’t go splat!

  • Perfect version of a recovery trot with a pub ending. Nicely done Dawn.

  • Lol I’m a real chicken around geese – the babies are so cute but beware of the parents. Run done and 3 miles is still good going especially when it’s not comfortable. The next one will be better.

  • Run time was 41:38, lol can’t believe I’ve put pace! I’ll try and do better………

Lol I hadn’t even notice I was putting my pace instead of run time – sorry guys. Run time for this one was 35:07 😇

Just went with flow. Running two days on the trot so wasn’t planning anything specific and keeping it around the 3 mile mark. Foot just a little sore before I started but didn’t notice it at all during the run. Nice to do a slightly different route now that this distance is okay and loved it being a bit quieter than after work. Almost tripped…[Read more]

    • Good you felt nothing while running and hopefully the foot is ok now. Been a good few days. Rest day tomorrow I presume

    • Im catching up and working backwards !! Well 2 runs on the trot YAY huge improvement Julie and really great to see the distance increase hasn’t annoyed the foot?? Hope the foot is feeling ok after the run ๐Ÿ™‚ .. stupid squirrel LOL, that could have been messy!

    • Another good outing and great to hear the foot is behaving so well that’s good going with the flow and nice to get a quieter run in ๐Ÿ™‚
(though you keep putting your pace instead of run time??)

    • Lol I hadn’t even notice I was putting my pace instead of run time – sorry guys. Run time for this one was 35:07 😇

    • good progress that there is no discomfort on the run

    • Good to see you increasing the distance GG! Please no squirrel muppetry though! Please!

The plan was to take it easy and increase the mileage up to 4 for my final run in Guernsey this trip. Opted for a flat route along the sea front. Plenty of runners out, including one guy who passed me wearing a vest with Wallace and Gromit on the back with the caption “Keep up lad” – lol not a chance this time but just wait till next time!!!…[Read more]

Sounds like everything is improving and well fitted it. Great discipline on heading straight out 👍🏃‍♀️👏👏

Lol I remember going for a run there and keeping an eye out for bears – avoiding them yes, searching for them NO not when running 🤪 Fab run Chris and Iโ€™m sure all the more enjoyable for the scenery 👍🏃👏👏👏

Fitting in a run before visiting my parents decided on a different route to ones Iโ€™ve done before and headed up the hill to Delencey Park then down the road to the London House pub, up the road to the sea front and along the front as far as the Red Lion pub (didnโ€™t want to head back until Iโ€™d hit the 2 miles mark), turned around and headed back…[Read more]

    • Lovely post Julie, and did wonder why the mention of all the pubs! I hope you have more runs like that too, sound so relaxed and happy, I reckon a culmination of everything ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Whatever the reasons it’s great you had a feel good run. You best make that breakfast a regular.

    • Whichever of those things it was it sounds like it worked – we all want you to have more runs like that – certainly looks good and great to see all of the patience being rewarded 👏🙂

    • YAY happy bunny runner ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ Maybe a combo of everything ๐Ÿ˜‰ Hope you have a fab weekend to match your run ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Must have been nice for you having that feel good run, that should give you a boost in confidence going forward and you seem to be heading in the right direction. You seem to be improving all the time long, long may it continue 👍

    • Sounds very positive, well done GG

    • That is great to see GG! Not sure about the pineapple flavoured porridge though ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Go with the flow to slow music. Possibly the best run post op – even found enough energy to go to Body Balance class too. Had to get this one in today as I didn’t do anything Monday and cancelled my gym classes yesterday due to being so tired and foot was a bit swollen and grumpy from being on it for 8 hours volunteering at the Run Gatwick half…[Read more]

    • Been a hectic few weeks for you so no worries lovely – think that foot is going to be telling when it’s been overworked for a good while yet but it’ll settle – this is a great outing and it sounds like you thoroughly enjoyed it – have a fab weekend with the folks and hope the house is still standing when you get back ๐Ÿ™‚ x

    • Husband will probably be OK if you leave him clear instructions …. about everything. Good trotting.

    • Your foot may have not appreciated standing around for 8 hours, but I would say volunteering was very worthwhile doing. Nice to read that you thought the run was a good one for you, long may continue.

    • Great to read you had a good run, and also that you were sensible about cutting out the gym
      โ€œThank you, marshalโ€

    • Sounds all positive after the op, well done marshal none of us would have events without you

    • super run after the weekend.

    • Nice to see you still running GG and enjoying BodyBalance. I have respect for you doing the marshalling at Gatwick. I have marshalled a couple of times (usually when on the bench) and it is really tiring

    • Don’t worry about catching up just jump in when you can – but YAY to happy run here, perfect ๐Ÿ˜‰

So things have got a little manic. Had originally thought about doing the Horsham parkrun as 5th anniversary – even if part is on grass. That got benched as I needed to be in Crawley by 10:30 for Team Leader (volunteer) briefing for Run Gatwick Half Marathon (tomorrow)…….. this only came about Thursday evening. 😂

This had to be done earlier…[Read more]

Nice little run to keep it ticking over. Lol you know that it doesn’t matter what time you went out or returned, you would have missed the delivery don’t you 🤣 Hope it’s something exciting and nice. Rest and recoup ready for Sunday – good luck and hope it goes really well👍

  • Yay congratulation Ruth – so well deserved, you are an inspiration to us all 👏👏👏

Thanks guys, it is exciting stuff and I know I have to be sensible. Barry not so keen on this current one – doesn’t feel like I’m doing much……… not hard enough. Doesn’t seem to quite flow properly either. Good timing for me though as now I don’t feel guilty about dropping a class or 2 (was doing 3 a week) and switch to some more energetic…[Read more]
