  • Yay that’s the spirit, who needs a Brownlee when we have an Emma. Life gets in the way and quite a bit at times and you’ve just shown that you can fight back. Fab run.

    If you can do a run that is hot, sweaty and hard going without any inspirational music, you don’t really need it! Great run in these conditions.

    Dave if you can’t moan here, where can you moan? This is where you log your runs and comment on how it went for you and yes this is always based on individual standards, etc. Please don’t stop otherwise how can others wish to have times like your’s when they are below par if we don’t know they are that!       50 mins easy pace on soft ground was the plan. Ran with Sarah (long run buddy) out and back on the South Downs Link which turned into a very chatty, catch up run.     • Guess the lesson here is yo continue being very careful, must ge frustrating though when the head is wanting to do everything but the legs really shouldn’t. Well done on the miles though and must be good if others can see the improvements.

    • Better to take caution on hammy maybe a massage or foam roller will help. But positive from Sarah well done

    • Good to see our and about with Sarsh – but eekkk to cramp, I rarely get it but it’s really horrid when I do!! Good chatty run πŸ™‚ and HAHA yes my brain so thinks I’m capable of running a lot faster and further then my legs can allow at the mo!!

    • Chatty runs seem to go so much faster! I like that your brain thinks you can do anything – now it just needs to liaise with your body and there’ll be no stopping you 😉

    • Cramp is nasty. You had a good run there too especially after the busy morning too.

    • Recovery can be slow…you just have to be patient. A good outing apart from the cramp GG

    Vicky I got the Gaviota (Paradise Pink/Neon Coral i.e. nice and bright 🤣) though it sounds like as much you love Hoka’s perhaps they don’t love you back!!!

Ooooo what Hokas have you gone for, I LOVE Hoka’s and ooing and areing on getting another pair – but each time iv had a pair iv ended up with knee niggles!! But they are so comfy!!     • I have Hoka Arahi, had them for a few years, only wear them on rec runs, like slippers they are. Hope the acheyness has disappeared by now. Well done

    • I used to find running slow fairly difficult as it’s easy to fall into a comfortable rhythm but if I keep an eye on my HR and listen to slow music, I do go slower! Well disciplined run Julie, your trainer sounds really good. The massage sounds lovely πŸ˜€
