A good run to start the week off and sounds like you’ve got perfect weather for it in Costa del Cumbria 😎

Wow that must have been a speedy field! Great run Dorothy and bet the soup tasted good at the end 🙂

That’s some serious elevation on that course, not surprised you were brought to a standstill at times. Sounds like a fantastic race tho and great vfm too 👍🙂

So annoying when Garmin fails but a great looking long run in the bag and always a good feeling to get that final one ticked off 👍🙂

  • Just seen this on strava, cracking pace Dave and your son has got some very speedy legs!

  • Fantastic run Lizzy with a whopping amount of elevation in there. I was undecided which top to wear yesterday so opted for a long sleeve over a T and ended up having to take it off mid run.

Well done on the course PB Dave, absolutely flying along on that one, can understand your frustration being so close to a PB for that distance but the hill wouldn’t have helped and on a flatter course you’d have nailed it – congratulations to Sheila too 👍👍

Have a few days off work this week so out a bit later than usual for this one. I might have indulged in a glass or two more than I should have of the red stuff 🍷🍷last night so was good to get out and clear my head, a stiff breeze definitely helped blow any lingering cobwebs away. Didn’t bother looking at pace or hr just a nice steady run to feel…[Read more]

Sounds like a good strategy for the race Nathalie and a great result 👍

Always nice when you’re enjoying the run so much you just want to carry on 😀 hope the back is ok tomorrow.

That’s a good looking run to say the mojo was lacking to start with! Maybe a bit of post mara blues? Great pace for a hilly one too 😀

That’s a great result especially with the lurgy Barry well done 👍😀 looking forward to seeing the medal and agree the race organisers can be a bit stingy especially with some of the entry fees they charge!

Looks like a good steady outing after yesterday’s long run, agree with the hr reading being out, I sometimes get that but a swift tweak to the strap usually sorts it out 😁

  • Think life catches up with us sometimes and you just have to do what you can – hope today’s run went well.

Taking advantage of a short window of opportunity between dropping one daughter off at work and getting back to drop the other one off – restful weekends ha! Legs felt rather heavy to start with after yesterday’s bike miles, not a lot for some people (17 miles) but the furthest I’ve ever done. A fairly good week of training for me, just over…[Read more]

    • Good going and was great to see you clocking up some bike miles yesterday – that’s a bit like running – build steady and you’ll reap the benefits – good outing and turned out a good week in spite of the cold!! 😊

    • That’s a very good outing after cycling and with a cold; nicely fitted in with everything else too!

    • haha yeah tissues and water not a good combo and no sleeves on a swimming costume Sharon 😁 very productive weekend for you, well done and fingers crossed the cold will be fully cleared in a day or two?

    • Looks like a good weekend of training Sharon, onward and upward for next week 💪

    • Seems you have been very busy this weekend one way or another. Racking up some great mileage on foot and wheels, but the best news is that the PF has stayed quiet – YAY! Thank you for the tip about flicking the HRM strap if the HR is doing weird things – I’ll definitely try that x

    • Nicely fitted in Sharon. Sounds like the biking is going well too. Hope your cold goes soon….mine is just kicking in 🙁

    • that’s a great outing on the back of the biking, hope the cold soon goes 🙂

    • Great to see the pf is still behaving, and a great run to finish the week off and good set of weekly mileage. Well done Sharon

    • Nice fiver Sharon! It seems like a busy weekend, indeed! Well done!

    • Well done Sharon, a lovely run and a great weekend for you

    • All sounding positive

    • Yuck to soggy tissues in a pool Sharon! Had never thought of that… but well done on the bike miles, I think it does help with the running, spinning out the legs, and I really should pop out on mine (think you’ve inspired me to go sometime today!)
Positive run too, good relaxed 5 and sound like the PF may be on the way out 🙂

That does sound tough Jo 😆 great work in the conditions and did well to get anywhere near those target paces running into the wind which is always worse by the seafront.
