      Runch

No proof-reading today but too much computer screen for my liking! And the result was much the same as last week: the original relaxed 30′ planned turned up into a 30′ tempo run. Probably not helped by the fact I ran straight into my boss as I left! Lovely sunny day today – the long tights were a bit too much – and saw 2 magpies and 3 bunnies.

    • Nice use of your lunch time, I’m sure the boss doesn’t mind

    • Good to just go with the flow sometimes and let the legs do what they want to and a great way to spend a bit of time away from the computer πŸ™‚

    • A good five miles . I bet that was good after being on the computer. Well done! 👍😊

    • Nice easy-turned-to-tempo, nice fauna sightings and great to have a sunny day with this chill. But eeeeeeeek to running into your boss after escaping from the computer screen!!!! :-O

    • Eeeekk I assume your Boss turned into a raging bull!! Nice tempo to un square your eyes Nat πŸ™‚

    • If boss complains , Nathalie, maybe you just need to mention that all this running benefits your employer just as much you. ( “Mens sana in corpore sano” – healthy mind in a healthy body) πŸ˜‰

    • Terrific run , better to have sun on your face rather than computer glare👎

    • Oops to running into the boss, hopefully he was impressed by you running!
Nice wildlife spot on a sunny day, sounds like you needed it 😊

    • Sounds like a lovely run Nathalie, well done

      Parkrun

It was chilly, enough for me to think this was the last outing of the year for the capris. Decided to pace my usual 35′ and really struggled to keep it there as pace kept creeping up. I think the HR and speed training are finally paying off!

A short one is better than no runch πŸ™‚ Looking good despite the chilly weather

Being outside after a long drive is the best!

    Sounds all very positive!

A 64-day streak is some achievement and I think that if you need a complete rest day or 5 so the knee can recover, so be it. It easy to take our body for granted, so we need to take good care of it

Sounds like a lot going on at the moment and some nice plans for next year too. Maybe skipping a run for a lie-in?

Nicely squeezed into the busy V! Soon time off for Christmas time?

Quite a warm up then. Nothing can beat a long downhill finish!

I hope the shins and knee are going to behave now – not allowed to spoil Christmas month!

  • NathalieR commented on the run 1 week, 2 days ago

Nice loop. I hope the shins are ok

Sounds like a perfect outing Sharnie!

Wow, that’s a fab amount of miles! and a great 10 miler too. Completely understand the pride in overtaking of the hedge trimming vehicle – I used to race the binmen’s lorry on the Seafront πŸ˜‰

Good news on the knee – I think swimming is a good alternative as it doesn’t impact the joints anywhere near as much as running can do

A happier foot and a goodbye wave to the lurgy sound good to me!

Nice 7 Richard. I like this time of the year with the Christmas lights out as they usually provide a good complement to street lighting πŸ™‚
